Meet the Artist

My name is Courtney Carlson and I have had a passion for drawing animals, especially horses, for as long as I can remember.  As soon as I could hold a pencil, my seemingly natural gift allowed me the ability to express the beauty and magnificence I saw in every creature through my art. 

The spirit and characteristics of a creature (human or animal) can be deeply expressed through their eyes and expression, which is what I focus on in order for a portrait to "come alive".  I am so pleased to have the opportunity to share my passion with others.  Nothing warms my heart more than to see the face of someone when they are presented with a timeless portrayal of something or someone so dear to them and knowing that I was able to utilize my gift to bring them joy.
